DJI & Datumate’s Drone Site Survey Solution Bundles
DJI and Datumate Launch Designated Drone Site Survey Solution Bundles for Field Construction, Surveying and Infrastructure Inspection Markets
Two leaders in the drone and drone site survey industries, DJI and Datumate, have combined to offer upgraded drone Site Survey Solution bundles.
The bundles include DJI’s new Phantom 4 Professional drone in addition to Datumate’s DatuFly mission planning app for drones and one of Datumate’s software solutions (photogrammetry software): DatuSurvey Professional, DatuSurvey Enterprise & DatuSite.
These drone site survey bundles were created with industry specific features for civil engineering, construction and infrastructure mapping.
The Phantom 4 Pro drone features a camera with a 1 inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor and mechanical shutter. A maximum speed of 45 mph and a long flight time allows for a large surveying area coverage.
These features, along with the Phantom 4’s powerful camera allows the generation of higher precision maps for advanced surveying and inspections.
See more features of the Phantom 4 Pro, including its obstacle sensing and avoidance, in our list of the top GPS equipped camera drones.
The professional imaging software offered by Datumate helps to reduce the time needed for field to plan operations. The photogrammetry software also increases productivity and reduces operational costs.
The DatuFly app creates a plan for taking images as well as a flight plan for DJI drones. The app supports the Phantom 3 and Inspire as well, in addition to the Phantom 4.
Datumate’s site surveying software converts those aerial and ground images into precise, geo-tagged 2D maps and 3D models of structures.
Datumate’s Drone Surveying Solutions
DatuSurvey is a feature rich civil engineering field to plan software that automates much of the work done back at the office.
This software takes site images from a drone camera and converts them into accurate 2D maps and 3D models – therefore saving money by reducing the amount of work required at the field.
There are two versions:
Professional, which is the base version offering the conversion of image data into maps and models.
And…
Enterprise, which is geared towards advanced surveyors and inspection projects that require survey-grade accuracy.
DatuSite, included in the third bundle option, was developed for field construction, architects and inspectors.
The software accurately monitors construction sites as they progress. It can automatically calculate stock pile volumes and perform inspections of different infrastructures and facilities.
These post processing solutions rely on the DatuFly app, which plans and automates the flight and photo shooting session.
The app includes optimization for different job types which is ideal for professional surveying applications.
The image recording plan, tailored to the requirements of DatuSurvey, ensures seamless automation of the work done at the surveying office – after the site visit.
DJI and Datumate’s Drone Site Survey bundles are available globally from the Datumate website, in addition to the DJI online store. They are also available through DJI and Datumate dealers.
In addition to the Phantom 4 Pro drone, surveying software and DatuFly app; the bundles also come with 2 extra batteries for the Phantom, a professional backpack carrying case and a battery charging hub.
One year of software support and upgrades comes with the package also.

Will this program work with a phantom 4 pro + v2.0? If not is there a timeline of when it would be available for that model of drone.
Hi Wyatt, the DatuFly app definitely works with the Phantom 4 Pro drone, per Datumate’s website & the app info page on the Appstore. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 as well but you can always contact Datumate for the latest information. Cheers!
